YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY IS THE PRODUCT.
Everything else we do — the training, the venues, the evening activities — only works because parents trust us with the most important person in their life. Here is exactly how we earn that trust, every single week.
NON-NEGOTIABLE. WRITTEN DOWN. AUDITED.
HighFive operates to a single safety standard at every destination. This isn't marketing — it's a written protocol shared with every coach, hotel partner, transfer driver, and medical provider before camp week begins. The same protocol runs in Antalya, Belgrade, Sarajevo, and Paphos. Every site. Every week. No exceptions.
HOW WE KEEP YOUR CHILD SAFE
Six dedicated systems — running in parallel, every day, on every camp
VETTED COACHING STAFF
Every HighFive coach completes a background check, holds a current federation license, and is trained in youth-specific safeguarding before working with a single camper. No exceptions, no shortcuts, no freelancers.
24/7 ADULT SUPERVISION
A dedicated camp manager and supervised dormitory floors mean a camper is never unattended. Room checks happen three times per day and lights-out supervision continues through the night.
ON-SITE MEDICAL COVER
Licensed medical staff are present at every training session. Each destination has a pre-confirmed partnership with a nearby hospital, and travel insurance is included in every camp booking.
REAL-TIME PARENT PORTAL
Parents receive daily photo updates, activity summaries, and direct messaging access to the camp coordinator. You see your child smiling every day — and you always know exactly where they are.
TRACKED TRANSFERS
Airport meet-and-greet, GPS-tracked group transfers, and automated SMS confirmations at every handoff: arrival, hotel check-in, and return journey. You know the moment your child arrives.
SAFE FACILITIES ONLY
Every hotel, court, and venue passes a HighFive safety audit before it hosts a camp — fire safety, pool supervision, room security, and food hygiene are all checked and documented annually.
WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG
Transparency matters. Here is the exact five-step flow every HighFive site follows.
- 01
IMMEDIATE ASSESSMENT
The on-site medic reaches the camper within 2 minutes for any incident during training. Coaches are first-aid certified and begin care until the medic arrives.
- 02
PARENT NOTIFICATION
The camp coordinator contacts parents directly by phone and WhatsApp within 15 minutes of any incident requiring more than routine first aid. Parents hear the news from us first — never from their child's phone.
- 03
MEDICAL ESCALATION
If hospital care is needed, a camp coordinator travels with the camper and stays until a parent or legal guardian takes over. Insurance coordination begins immediately in parallel.
- 04
SUPPORT & STABILISATION
A dedicated family liaison keeps parents informed with hourly updates until the camper is back at camp or safely home. Siblings and roommates receive emotional support from our camp welfare staff.
- 05
REVIEW & DEBRIEF
Every incident is logged, reviewed by the operations director, and — where useful — shared with other camp sites so the whole organisation learns. No blame culture, just continuous improvement.
A HIGHFIVE CAMP IS A PLACE WHERE EVERY CHILD — REGARDLESS OF BACKGROUND, LANGUAGE, OR ABILITY — FEELS SEEN, HEARD, AND RESPECTED.
We follow International Safeguarding Standards for youth sport. This means written codes of conduct for coaches and staff, confidential reporting channels for campers and parents, zero-tolerance for bullying or discrimination, and regular safeguarding training for every team member who interacts with a camper.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
- WHO IS WITH MY CHILD AT NIGHT?
- Dedicated night supervisors walk the accommodation floors at designated check times. Room doors are locked but accessible to staff in emergencies. Coaches sleep on the same floor as their age group so help is seconds away.
- CAN MY CHILD CONTACT ME WHENEVER THEY WANT?
- Yes. Phones are allowed at all times outside training sessions. We also provide a free designated call window every evening and a 24/7 coordinator hotline for parents who need to reach their child urgently.
- WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS ALLERGIES OR MEDICAL NEEDS?
- Every family completes a medical intake form before camp. Kitchens are briefed on allergies and a medical binder travels with the camp manager. We regularly host campers with asthma, diabetes, severe allergies, and ADHD.
- DO YOU RUN BACKGROUND CHECKS ON COACHES?
- Yes. Every coach, medic, and supervisor is background-checked in the country they work in. Licensed federation credentials are verified annually. We do not use unvetted freelancers.
- WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE TRAVEL INSURANCE?
- Medical care, emergency repatriation, and personal accident cover across the full camp week including transfer days. A full policy summary is sent to every family before departure.
STILL HAVE SAFETY QUESTIONS?
Our operations team answers every safety question personally — usually within the same working day. Nothing matters more to us than this.
